Most of the new people a bit confused to buy a hosting package. Among the matters specified in the package is bandwidth hosting. For this entry, I’d like to share some of the mistakes I’ve made before. It happen coz I just ignore the size of the bandwidth that really need for blog. Before continue my story, let’s share definition of bandwith in web hosting package.

What is bandwith ?

There’s many definition but I like to refer this definition

Bandwith refers to the amount of data that transfers into and out web hosting account. Incoming data can include requests for web pages, email, FTP requests, and FTP uploads, while outgoing data includes file transfers, web pages, and email.

I think this short description will give you enough to understand about hosting bandwith.Back to the topic. Why you need to pay attention about hosting bandwith? It is important because if you get the wrong bandwith amount, you will lose money, traffic,etc.  This is my tips :-

1. Compare the bandwith package among hosting providers. Some of them give cheap package but their bandwith is very low.
2. Ask from other’s expertise about usage bandwith monthly. For beginner blogger, low amount bandwith as 10GB is enough but not for those blog/website that can get more than 1,000 visitor per day.
3. Get the hosting provider that can upgrade your bandwith directly. Some of hosting provider can’t upgrade your bandwith automatically. It is hard especially if your blog/website suddenly get huge traffic daily.
4. If you plann to develop many blog/website in same hosting, try an unlimited package for bandwith. There’s many hosting provider give unlimited bandwith in their package. It is good for long term project.

Maybe it is not a good achievement but I’m still proud of it. 100 visitor per day for this blog is still good for blog that not update regularly. What entry that give me more traffic? I just check with google analytics and found :-

I think most of you have read about 16 year old kids from Corby, Northamptonshire, UK. The wonderkid name Christian Owens make money online using a simple website called Mac Bundle Box that offered Mac OS X apps for a discounted price in a package. Not just that, he created another website advertising pay-per-click company ‘Branchr’. Using this 2 profit website, he earn more than a million dollar less than 4 year. What an achievement from young kids..

Back to the title. I think most of us can’t become a millionaire because :-

1. We don’t have a passion like this kids. He is very hardworking boy. The way he manage school time and working as internet entrepreneur is unbelievable.
2. We can’t throw our teens life. As a serious young entrepreneur he must left the teen phase. Unlimited time for fun because he need to concentrate in the business.
3. We afraid to take risk. From the news, this boy use his pocket money to invest in his project. Nowadays, the fund increase more and more.
4.We are not creative as him. He is a talented guy. Not because he can develop website but the way he attract other’s reader to become customers.

Maybe there’s more reason why we can’t become millionaire like Christian Owen. But why don’t we start now? Maybe our luck next..

Long time not writing this blog. I just renew this domain last week. Forget to renew it especially I’m not using godaddy buying this domain.
