I think millions and millions of blogger / webmaster have used this keyword on their website /blog.

He/she just listed 56 points but most of the points are rubbish. The best thing is his/her blog still in first page google for keyword ‘traffic blog’ even the article is 3 years old.

There’s many ways to increase traffic. SOme of the tricks I’ve write in my past article but maybe 21 Tactics to Increase Blog Traffic from SEOmoz will add new knowledge.
Like Sethgodin, the article is almost 3 years old but some of the tips are still relevant. And the best thing is he still get comments untill now.

How if I write my opinions? Will it better than their blog ? Maybe yes or not. This is my tips how to increase your traffic effectively:-

1. Write your own content in your style. Don’t try to become another Johnchow. You can do similarity like Johncow on the beginning but you must get your own style to success for long term.
2. Using many keywords on your tag. I’ve seen a blog post with 50 tags in his/her blog. It looks messy but that’s the best way to grab search engine (SE) attention. But don’t confuse tag and categories. It’s many differenciate between them, but for me tags is more subs of categories.. So give more keyword on tag while stick one in categories.
3. Make some contest for your readers. You will give huge attention. Most of readers like to get something other than read some lame article. For beginner this is not suitable because you don’t earn money, why you want to throw it?? Only use these tricks when your earning is stabile…
4. Many of blogger give advice to use exchange link to increase traffic but I don’t like this idea. It just worthy if you get link exchange with huge and popular blog only. Make some research before accept or request link exchange. Some of them list the blog not at the homepage. But most of blogger recommend this link exchange so I just write it. It’s up to you.
5. Give some quality comments on related blog. Most of blog have comment box and you can place your url.. Don’t using a simple statement like ‘ Hi . Your tips are good. I like to read more’. This is just a rubbish comment, sometimes the author declares the comment as a spam comment. Read the article clearly, understand and write a comment based on the article. Comment like a profesional (even you are beginner). Do not fear if your grammar and spelling is wrong. Create minimum 20 words to ensure that you are really making attention of their blog.
6. If you read at this blog carefully you will see many links at this post. That’s one way for me to get traffic.
7. Create controversial topic.. I do not recommend this. It will take a big risk..
